You really won’t believe you are not eating a snickers… oh and no peanuts!
I have spent the last 2 weeks flat out studying for my Nutrition exams and while I have eaten some raw everyday I have not had the time to create and find new recipes…
This leaves me about 15 recipes behind – good news though – only 34 more recipes and I have completed 365 recipes in 365 days – bring on 11th November!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup Tahini
3 Tbsp. Organic Maple Syrup
1/3 cup buckwheat – soaked overnight
1/3 cup hazelnuts
1/2 cup almonds
1/2 cup figs
1/4 cup of desiccated coconut
3 Tbsp. melted coconut oil
For the top… 1/4 cup melted raw chocolate (I actually just used store bought raw chocolate and melted it down – but if you have the cacao butter and cacao powder in your house you can easily make up some chocolate to pour over the top – search my blog for chocolate recipes – orange intense is a great one – just leave out the orange sugar).
Method:
Place all your ingredients into (except chocolate) into a high speed processor and pulse until well combined and roughly chopped. I left the texture quite rough so you get that crunch when you bite into the slice.
Line a small square tin or tupperware container with glad bake. Spoon in the mixture and press down to flatten evenly.
Place in the fridge.
Melt your chocolate in a bowl over hot water.
Pour on da top of your slice and replace in the fridge until set.
Slice and dice away and enjoy your snickers bar!
Amazing isn’t it?
Hope you enjoy as much as we did 🙂
