Setting Up the Class
YAY! My First Raw Food Class was held yesterday in Melbourne – it was so much fun! I enjoyed it thoroughly and the girls did too. So much food – lots of laughs and eating and of course heaps of raw learning.
It was a packed 2 hr session with 8 recipes!
I showed the girls how to open Young Thai Coconuts, we made almond milk, green smoothies, raw dips, raw crackers, kale salad, chocolate mousse, raw chocolate and my VERY HOT Green Curry Soup. I swapped curry powders and bought a different one from the Health Food Shop – I didn’t realise HOW HOT is actually was until the girls tried it and could not eat it because it was so hot – never mind!
Everything went so well!
The girls munched on all the food we made in class and also some additional pre-prepared flaxseed crackers, pecan pate, mango cheesecake. Everything we made was either eaten on the spot and what could not fit into bellies was taken home, much to my absolute delight.
There is nothing more I love than to send people home with food – even better if it is healthy!
Comprehensive Recipe Sheets
I’d made up a few samplers of Pizza Flaxseed Crackers and Granola that they also took home.
We had so much fun talking about everything raw from sprouting to activating nuts, the importance of greens in the raw food diet and we even had some time to plant out some wheatgrass too!
Here are a few pics from the day and I hope to start releasing some You Tube videos soon too – so watch this space for further info.
Of course if you are interested in coming along to a Raw Food Class – the next one is this Sunday 28th July and then there is also one on Sunday 11th August.
