Once you have a pie crust ready, this is such an easy pie to whip up.
The vanilla sauce is optional – but really is very nice with this pie.
I sprinkled some ground pecan over the top of my pie to add a bit of texture 🙂
Fruity and not too heavy, this is great for a snack or even breakfast – you don’t need to only have this for dessert.
Ingredients:
4 fresh pears, diced
1 Tbsp. vanilla paste
1 Tsp. nutmeg
1 Tsp. cinnamon
4 Tbsp. Vanilla Sauce ( you can add the vanilla sauce to the pear mixture or use as a garnish)
2 Tbsp. ground pecan for garnish
Method:
Combine all ingredients (except Vanilla Sauce) in a food processor and pulse until thick and chunky (don’t over process).
Pour mixture into pie crust (if you’d like to add the Vanilla Sauce, fold in before pouring mixture into crust).
Sprinkle with ground pecan.
Dehydrate for 2 hours at 11o degrees Fahrenheit or refrigerate an hour.
Serve with vanilla sauce or just eat it as is.
