I grabbed this recipe from the Rawtarian website as I raced to shut down my computer and head into the city traffic to make my way home…
Ingredients were all things I had in the fridge / pantry and it looked like I could quickly throw all these ingredients into the food processor and pat the mixture into quick burgers and whack into the dehydrator over night…
And that is exactly what I did and enjoyed these for lunch today.
Ingredients (roughly these quantities) … made about 8 patties.
1/2 cup hemp seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup walnuts
1/4 cup ground flax seeds (opps – just realised I did not add these)
3/4 cup chopped vegetables – I added – 1 purple carrot, 1 stalk celery, 1/2 onion, 1/2 red capsicum, fresh parsley
1 Tbsp. chia seeds
2 Tsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. water
1 garlic clove
1 Tsp. Himalayan salt
1 Tbsp. nutritional yeast (savoury yeast flakes)
Method:
This is not what the recipe said to do – but this is what I did.
Threw everything into the food processor and chopped until all ingredients were finely chopped.
Form spoonfuls of mixture into burger patties and place on a lined dehydrator tray.
Dehydrate overnight and enjoy with some freshly cut tomato, avocado, cos letture, Himalayan salt and a few chilli flakes.
Delicious lunch for me today!
