The tomatoes growing in our garden are just beginning to ripen and it is so exciting heading out each evening to bring in a ripened crop. We have a few different varieties growing and the fruit is absolutely delicious, flavoursome, sweet, moreish and really fells like a luxury. None of the tomatoes so far ripe are red tomatoes, some are orange flesh tomatoes and some cherry green tomatoes… not sure how many varieties we grew – but all heirloom and all different.

It was an absolute treat including them in todays recipe (along with our home grown basil) 😀


2 heirloom tomatoes, diced

1 clove of garlic, minced

1 Tbsp olive oil

sprinkle of salt

sprinkle of chilli flakes

Sprouted-chia bread


Mix all ingredients together and place spoonful on chia bread.  Serve.
