This is quite a funny day!
I am actually making a number of new raw food recipes on the one day – I make raw food everyday and eat raw food at about the 85% – 100% mark each day… today I am keen to try out these kelp noodles. A raw food meetup a few months ago has left me wanting to try them again and I have only now – on my 1 week xmas break managed to track down a health food shop that sells raw kelp noodles.
Amazingly, I have tried 4 different Health food shops and been told they don’t exist – but I know they do because I have eaten them!
So, I have looked up my Raw Food Cook books and found a recipe – I was just thinking a simple sauce – but never with raw food extravagance is anything just one sauce – if you want an absolutely restaurant quality result – you will need to do the prep work – so I have prepared the Worcestershire Sauce – next is the Coconut-Curry Sauce….
And now to the funny part…
Only moments ago – I had my partner literally clomping through the house, proudly clapping two coconut halves together – that is right – just like Monty Python’s Holy Grail…. the grin on his face – priceless…. he just can’t wait for my daughter to come home so he can ‘show off’ his coconut canter….
So – you will need a coconut for this recipe and I had a round brown one in the fridge – so that was the coconut of choice today! I can handle the Young Thai variety fine – so this one I left to my partner with his hack saw and drill and subsequent clomping…
Ingredients:
1 cup tightly packed coconut meat
1/2 cup almond milk
1/4 cup coconut water
1 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. garam masala
1 tbsp. grated ginger
pinch Himalayan salt
Combine all ingredients in food processor until smooth and creamy.
Voila!
Ready for next step in Kelp Noodle Recipe!
