This has got to be the easiest breakfast ever. I make this 3-4 times every week as my morning breaky before heading off to work.
This is a quick, diary free, light and wholesome breakfast that takes minutes to make.
Ingredients:
1 Banana; 10 raw almonds; 1 cup ice; 1/4 cup of almond milk; dash of cinnamon
Method:
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until the ice is crushed and all ingredients are well ‘blended’.
Poor into a glass and enjoy!
So two days in to the new raw food recipe a day for 365 days and I am starting to panic… Many raw food recipes require ‘prep’ time and I have not done any so far – so in a few days time I am thinking I am going to have needed to have done some… So as an attempt to hopefully mitigate a lack of ‘ready’ ingredients in a few days time I have put some chickpeas on the soak.
‘Chickpeas on the soak’ – actually that does sound a little odd. What I am saying is that I have placed some chickpeas in my sprouter. They get soaked in water every morning and evening. In a few days time they will sprout unleasing their lively goodness. When they sprout – I will create the yummiest live Hummus ever out of them… can’t wait…. but I have to…

Thank you Doreen Virtue and Jenny Ross in ‘The Art of Raw Living Food’ for this ‘Merry Monkey Smoothie’ recipe – I love it and have added so many variations to your original.
