Feel like joining me for an energy boost?

I’m spending the long weekend cleansing my body by only eating raw juice and smoothies… just fruit and vegetables – that is it!
I’ve spent the last few days watching a couple of videos on Obesity and the effect it has on health. It has also been the topic of my Nutrition studies this semester at Uni. I could go on an absolute rant with this topic – but most of us understand already what overeating can do to the body – especially overeating of energy dense foods – despite how delicious they taste.
The end result is diabetes, cardiovascular disease and often cancer.
I know it is really hard to get 5 serves of vegetables and 2 serves of fruit into your body each and everyday – in fact in Australia at present – only 6% of the population actually achieve this!
Fresh fruit and vegetables are absolutely jam packed full of disease fighting, health promoting vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals, fibre and antioxidants – they are absolutely necessary to keep your body healthy.
So after a good dose of Joe Cross in Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead – I decided to reboot my body and just do fruit and vege juices and smoothies for the long

weekend!

Breaky this morning Just Berries – 1 cup frozen berries and 1 cup water – blend!
Mid morning – lunch – 1/2 cup frozen mango, 1 banana, 1 passionfruit, 1 orange and 1/2 cup water….blend… absolutely delicious…
Must go get my juice out of the cupboard and get down to the shops to stock my fridge full to the brim of colourful fruits and vegetables – getting excited at the thought of it all.
