Thought I’d try something a little different… amongst the pickling recipes, I found this recipe for figs in orange juice. Very easy recipe… just got to decide whether to make ice-cream to have with this or puree and make into jam 🙂
1 cup dried figs, quartered
1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1/4 Tsp. cloves
1/2 cup water
Place the figs in a jar. Add the orange juice, cloves and 1/2 cup water.
Give the jar a good shake. Let sit for 1 day before using.
Refrigerate for up to 1 week.
