I must say as I was making this recipe I was thinking about the name of this torte… and after catching up with a friend recently to hear all about her online dating experiences it was kind of an odd moment where the name of this torte took on a whole new meaning…
This is the date nut torte…
Extremely easy to make ๐
Ingredients:
2 cups raisins
2 cups walnuts
1 cup pitted Medjool dates, soaked for 1 hour
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Method:
In a food processor, process the raisins and walnuts together until they are well combined and moist, it will start to form a ball.
Press mixture into a pie dish.
Make the lemon, date frosting by processing the dates and the lemon together in the food processor until lovely and smooth.ย Spread the frosting over the raisin and walnut mixture and refrigerate for 2 – 3 hours.
I haven’t made this recipe before but I would say that this would keep quite awhile in the fridge.
